I think it may be time for a new poll. The new one asks: 'Have you finished the main quest?', so go vote now.
The previous poll shows that nearly half of the voters thought Morrowind was better than they expected, followed not so closly by Morrowind being what people expected.

10:12 PM CDT
No sign of the Morrowind reviews stopping with five more being put up over the last few days. The first review is in on PCGamesPortal and since it is in German, I have no idea what they are saying, but I'm sure it's good, since they gave it 89% overall. A New Review and Plugins Update by Striker
9:39 PM CDT
Today, the people over on Electric Playground have put up their review and they have given Morrowind 7/10. It's the lowest score so far, but it's still quite high.
Next, Tana Ricae has fixed an error in her house mod, so grab the updated version.
Lastly, if you have downloaded the PackGuar mod from one of the various mod sites, it contains an error that stops you from getting and losing gold. I just realised I don't have a copy of it on Destination: Morrowind, but I thought I should warn you all anyway.

More Reviews, Plugins and FAQ Forums Update by Striker
9:38 PM CDT
There has been a bit of news over the last few days. Firstly, Florida Gaming Network have put up their review of Morrowind. They give it a 9/10 as well as high praise. Guru3D.com have also put up a review. This one doesn't give a score, but how much they like the game is quite obvious.
Next up, GameFAQs.com have set up some FAQ forums related to different Morrowind topics.
Finally, I have uploaded three more user made plugins. The first is a Multi Mod by Krazedhermit. It includes multiple changes including increased difficulty, some classes being enabled, and adding a custom race. Next, Mathieu "SnaKE1" Goupil has made a mod that, under certain conditions, Ordinators will not attack you. Finally, Frank Myer has created three new weapons with particle effects, with a related back story. Each plugin has a readme file outlining what the plugin does.
One last thing, I have received an email about the Pack Guar plugin. It appears that when you use it, your gold is 'locked' at the current amount you are carrying at the time (it neither raises or decreases). If you are having similar problems, send me an email and I'll take it down and notify the creator.

Finally! An Australian and New Zealand Publisher Update by Striker
9:09 PM CDT
Great news for us down under! In this thread, Pete finally announces that Morrowind is coming! Here's the info:"I am pleased to announced that we have just signed an exclusive deal with Electronics Boutique to distribute Morrowind for PC in Australia and New Zealand. I do not have the official date it will be available there (check with their stores), but we are shipping product out to them as early as tomorrow, so it's really just a question of logistics from there. This is the regular edition only. If you want the collector's edition, I suggest you let you local EB store know that, so perhaps they'll pass that along to corporate and -- if there's enough interest -- maybe they'll offer that version as well.
I apologize to all of you that have been waiting for an answer on this for so long. The good news is that we went ahead and built units so that when the deal was signed, we wouldn't lose a moment in getting the game to you. Hopefully it will be there very soon. Thanks for your patience and understanding. I hope Morrowind will be worth the wait."

More News, Reviews and Plugins Update by Striker
8:50 PM CDT
Today, ZenGamer have not ony put up their Morrowind review (after playing for 140 hours and finishing the main quest). It sounds like the reviewer enjoyed it immensely, and gave it 10/10 and a gold ZenGamer "Must Buy" award! Also on ZenGamer are part 2 and part 3 of their very interesting 'Diary of a Thief' feature, with more to come.
GameSpot have put up a review of Morrowind as well. It points out some of it's flaws, but overall it's positive, with an 8.7 out of 10. Head over and check them all out.
In a similar pattern to the last few day, there are some more user made plugins for you to download. The first is a house plugin by Tana Ricae. This one has a small story attached to it instead of the house just being there. Next is a challenge mod by Darkwind_Legion, with another version to follow soon. This plugin makes monsters harder by giving all of them 3 times the hit points. The last plugin is a tutorial by Rukinea. This small tutorial covers the creation of NPC's (including equiping and placing) as well as adding dialog and a small quest.

More Morrowind Goodies Update by Striker
10:07 PM CDT
There was quite a bit of news over the weekend. Firstly, IGN.com have put up a review of Morrowind. It is very positive about pretty much the whole game, so check it out. IGN.com have also put up the final Q&A in the series. This one asks Todd Howard a few questions about Morrowind's release.
I have also received some more plug-ins for your downloading pleasure. The first one is by Jon Renner who has also added a house to Balmora. This one is found at the south of the canal and has some stairs leading to it. The next mod is by Rukinea who has added an NPC companion to join your travels. His name is Ulfgood Romra and can be found in Seyda Neen. He should follow you until he dies or you tell him to wait. Last but not least, there is an official plugin called the entertainers on the Elder Scrolls we site. This plugin allows the PC to dance, sing or play an instrument for money.
I was also sent another performance tip (thanks Warwon) that can stop Morrowind from 'stuttering'. First, make a backup of your Morrowind.ini file, then change the following from:
DontThreadLoad=0
to
DontThreadLoad=1
This stops Morrowind from loading the terrain on the fly, but each time terrain does need to be loaded, it shows a message and loads in the data for a couple of seconds. Basically this method clumps all of the loading into one spot that only occurs every few minutes instead of every few seconds. Try it out if you have a stuttering effect, and if you prefer it the other way, then you can always change it back.

Make Morrowind Prettier, Oh and a Review Update by Striker
1:22 AM CDT
Incase Morrowind didn't look great enough, here is another tip to get it (hopefully) looking even better. Starting from the original GF 256 cards, there is an option called 'Digital Vibrance'. To change it, follow these steps:
Right click on desktop. Select Properties. Hit "Advanced" Go to the nView tab. Hit "Device Settings" Pick "Color correction". There should be a 'Digital Vibrance' slider near the top. Setting it to medium appears to have the best results.
Note that this will probably affect all your other programs as well, but if you don't like it, it's easy to change back. Also, it may only appear if you are using the Detonator drivers.
There was also a Morrowind review over on WorthPlaying that you should check out. It gives Morrowind a high score as well as high praise.

Lots of News Update by Striker
6:28 PM CDT
There is quite a bit of news today. Firstly, ZenGamer have a feature entitled Life of a Thief - the First Days. It talks about playing as a thief character for the first few days in Morrowind. There are some slight spoliers - only releated to the first town - as well as some new screenshots. Head over and check it out if you want some tips at playing as a scoundrel.
Next up is a .plan about Morrowind on BluesNews. It is by Brandon Reinhart from 3DRealms and it gives his thoughts on the game.
Thirdly, I have been sent two plug-ins created by Morrowind gamers. The first regards The Black Candle guild and has been created by Ninja. It adds a hideout into Morrowind that allows you to find out more about them. You can download it here. The second plug-in is by The Ampersand and adds a small house to Balmora. Since there isn't an owner, you can use it to store your equipment in. It can be downloaded here.
Next is a review of Morrowind on GameZone. It is in German, but it gives Morrowind 9.1 out of 10. Head over and check it out.
Finally, I have some more tips on increasing your Morrowind performance. This requires some changes to the Morrowind.ini file, so you should back it up. I am not sure if it increases performance on all machines, but it's worth a try. All you have to do is locate the settings in Morrowind.ini and change them to the following:
UseLinear=0 LinearMethod=1 LinearValue=3.0 LinearRadiusMult=1.0 ; UseQuadratic=1 QuadraticMethod=2 QuadraticValue=16.0 QuadraticRadiusMult=4.0 ; Also, if you want more shadows cast by NPCs and creatures, altering the following lets you do it: Number of Shadows=32 Maximum Shadows Per Object=4 This will reduce the performance, but it gives a great effect.

No Safedisk Morrowind EXE Update by Striker
12:40 AM CDT
I have some good news for those people wanting a slight performance increase with Morrowind. A new EXE file has been released that removes the Safedisk protection from Morrowind. You still need the CD in the drive to use it, which means it is not a pirate version. Note that the EXE is not an official patch, so you should always back up the current EXE file before using it. It can be downloaded from here (compressed) or here (Uncompressed).

Armor Mod is Real Update by kathode
1:32 PM CDT
I received another email from the enigma Harvey Pittle. This email had an attached file, which turned out to be the first Morrowind mod! The armor is real, I've verified it in the game. Download it here. Here is what the included text file says about how to get the armor:The armor is released through a script. Once the player has 3000 gold on his head from crime, a bounty hunter is sent to claim the bounty. When the Player sleeps with this gold on his head, there is a chance that his sleep will be interupted by the bounty hunter.
