Ogre in the making When I design a character I spend some time thinking how to map it. How will it move, will the texture stretch too much? Should I use planer mapping, or cylindrical? Here you see some of teh prep work that goes into a creature. I usually use a render of the creature in wire frame as a guide, once i have the biginningas of that rougghed in I use UNWrap in MAX and jump back and forth between my art program (usually Painter, sometimes Photoshop) and MAX.
