Quests in Seyda Neen:
Title: MS_FargothRing
Find Fargoth's Ring.Type: Search Quest
RequirementsNone.
Steps:
  1. Fargoth is pretty much the first person you see after leaving the Census Office.
  2. Talk to Fargoth about his ring, which he wants back. It’s the ring that you found in the barrel in the Census and excise yard.
  3. You are given the choice to either return it to him or keep it.
  4. If you return it to him, you get it back later anyway.
Quest Items:
  • Engraved ring of healing ("ring_keley").
  • Reward: A disposition increase for both you and Arrille, a nearby trader. The ring if you don't return it.

    Title: MS_Lookout
Find Fargoth's Hiding Place.Type: Stealth quest
RequirementsNone, or Find Fargoth's Ring for a better reward.
    Steps:
    1. Talk to Hrisskar Flat-Foot (up the stairs, Arrille’s trade house) about ‘recover some gold’. He’ll tell you he’s low on money and asks you to find Fargoth’s hiding place. Talk about ‘Fargoth’s hiding place’ to accept or reject the quest.
    2. Go to the lighthouse, as Hrisskar mentions, and wait on the top of it till nightfall. At night, Fargoth will start sneaking around and end up in the muddy pool near the lighthouse - specifically the hollow tree stump in the middle of it.
    3. Make sure he doesn’t see you or he will not go to the pool at all and you’ll have to wait another night.
    4. Once he's gone, head to the stump and search it for some items.
    5. Return to Hrisskar for a reward, or you can keep the 300 gold without telling him.
    Quest Items:
  • None.
  • Reward: 100 gold, a Journeyman Lockpick ("pick_journeyman_01") and Fargoth’s Ring ("ring_keley") (Assuming you completed the Find Fargoth's Ring quest.

    Title: MV_DeadTaxman
Discover the fate of a missing Taxman.Type: Search and Combat Quest
    RequirementsNone.
    Steps:
    1. If you speak to people about latest rumors in Seyda Neen, you will find that the local tax collector is missing - and that he wasn't very popular.
    2. Search the land west of Seyda Neen, not far from town for the corpse of Vitellius near some rocks. Loot his body to activate the quest. Make sure you pick up the 200 gold and the tax record.
    3. Once you have found the body, speaking to people around Seyda Neen will direct you to Thavere in the lighthouse. She will, in turn, direct you to Socucius Ergalla in the Census and Excise Office.
    4. Return to Socucius and talk to him about the murder. You are given the choice to return the money or keep it. Return it will give you a higher reward when completing the quest. If you keep it, you won't be given any reward for bringing the murderer to 'justice'.
    5. Socucius will then ask you to bring his murderer to 'justice'. You can either visit everyone on the tax record list, or go to Foryn Gilnith, since he owes the most. His house is near the muddy pond in Seyda Neen.
    6. Speak to him about the murder, and either believe his story and he'll give you Processus' Ring, or don't and he'll attack (And you can get the ring anyway).
    7. If you kill him, you will get a 500gp reward from Socucius. He won't give this to you if Foryn still lives.
    8. You can also go to Thavere and give her the ring for some extra items.
    Quest Items:
  • Tax Record ("bk_seydaneentaxrecord"), 200 Gold and Processus' Ring ("Exquisite_Ring_Processus").
  • Reward: up to 500 gold. If you return the ring, 2 standard restore health potions ("P_Restore_Health_S")

    Title: MS_Nuccius
    Help Nuccius.Type: Speechcraft Quest
    RequirementsNone.
    Steps:
    1. Ask Vodunius Nuccius for some little advice and he’ll direct you to Darvame Hleran at the Silt Strider port. First, ask him about himself.
    2. Speaking to Darvame Hleran will confirm that Vodunius isn't very happy in Morrowind, but he does steer business her way.
    3. Head back to Vodunius and he will offer to sell you a slightly cursed ring for 100 gold so he can get to Narsis.
    4. In exchange for that, he gives you the ring (worth 100, so you’ll probably never get your gold fully back). The ring isn’t quite good (it damages your health once with 10 and fortifies your athletics with 5 for 60 sec.)
    Quest Items:
  • 100 Gold.
  • Reward: Nuccius’s Cursed Ring (Nuccius_Ring)
