Quest giver: Ilmeni Dren
Location: Vivec, St. Delyn, Canalside South room #1 (accessible only from outside)

Steps:
- Ilmeni Dren will ask you to help, as many "people cannot read".
- Go find copies of "Annotated Anuad" and "ABCs for Barbarians" in bookstores (Dorisa Darvel in Balmora has both).
- Deliver the books to Vala Catraso in Ald'ruhn's Mage Guild.
- Report back to Ilmeni.

| Requirements | HH_LiteracyCampaign (or having the topic 'slavery'), and knowing the Twin Lamps passcode |
Steps:
- Ilmeni will ask you to go to Ald Velothi and help Galyn Arvel.
- Galyn Arvel tells you there is a slave (J'Saddha) hiding out in the nearby Daedric shrine, Ashalmawia. There are three slavehunters (Anes Hlaren, Garyn Girith, and Sadal Doren) in town that need to be distracted or disposed of first though.
- It's possible to just tell each slavehunter that J'Saddha has left town; they'll believe you and wander to a central, out-of-the-way spot if they like you at least 60%. Otherwise, kill them.
- Lead J'Saddha to Galyn Arvel, then go report to Ilmeni Dren.

Steps:
- Ilmeni will ask you to go to Orvas Dren's plantation, just north of Vivec, and free the slave "Hides-His-Foot".
- Hides-His-Foot is in the southwest corner of the Dren plantation, almost underneath a guard shack. Agreeing to "travel together" with him is guaranteed to get most of the guards that can see you to attack, so be ready for it.
- Lead Hides-His-Foot to Sterdecan's (go due north until you hit water, follow the land to the east over a strip of land with water on both sides, and when the water ends Sterdecan's will be right in front of you; look for the boat dock to your left)
- Be sure to ask Hides-His-Foot about "little secret" after you get him there.
- Report to Ilmeni Dren.
