Quest giver: Vedam Dren
Location: Ebonheart, up some stairs at the Grand Council Chambers

Steps:
- The Duke will give you a key and ask you to speak to Tholer Saryoni (in Vivec's Temple canton's High Fane) about trying to "control the Ordinators".
- Talk to Tholer about "control the Ordinators", "troubling times", and "Ordinators".
- Tholer will ask you to go to Assemanu and retrieve the Robe of St. Roris.
- Do so, return to Tholer, and again ask him to "control the Ordinators".
- Report back to the Duke.
NOTE: Alternately, get Berel Sala to attack you and kill him before you get this assignment. You won't get a rep. bonus, but it's a faster way to solve this quest... and you get to keep the Robe of St. Roris.

| 'Convince' Orvas Dren to step down from power | Type: Combat or speechcraft quest |

Steps:
- Ask the Duke about the Camonna Tong and he'll tell you that if you are to become Grandmaster of House Hlaalu, you must gain control of the Camonna Tong from Orvas Dren.
- Go to Dren's plantation a ways north of Vivec.
- There are three ways to go about this quest:
a) Kill him,
b) Persuade him up to 80% or more and ask him about the "Camonna Tong" (the resultant dialogue should be obvious), or
c) Locate a letter in a small box in his basement (careful; there's two tough assassins down there) and blackmail him by talking about "Camonna Tong"
- Report back to the Duke.
