Ashlanders Quests
Crassius Curio's Quests:
The Ashlanders are the nomadic natives of the Ash lands, pridefully arrogant of their heritage and faithfully following the ways of the original Velothi Chimer. Thought primitive by the House Dunmer, the Ashlanders refuse to heed the Houses' law and frequently raid the settled lands for gold, goods, and wealthy nobles (whom they ransom).
| Favored attributes | Favored skills |
| Agility & Endurance | Alteration, Light Armor, Marksman, Medium Armor, Mysticism, & Spear |
To join: One of Caius Cosades missions will allow (and require) you join; otherwise, it is impossible.
Due to how interwoven most Ashlanders' loyalties are, killing any Ashlanders who do not 1st attack you is a bad idea. Forthermore, never kill an Ashlander in a camp unless it is part of a quest and you have been told to.

| Quest givers: | Sul-Matuul & Nibani Maesa |
| Location: | Urshilaku Camp |
| Title: A2_6_Incarnate |
| Fulfill the Third Trial | Type: Search & Combat quest |
| Requirements | A2_3_CorprusCure |
Steps:
- Return to the Urshilaku Camp and speak to Nibani Maesa about the "lost prophecies". (You don't have to actually have the books Gilvas Barelo gave you)
- After 2 days have passed, speak with Nibani again and she'll offer to give "my judgement". In that, she'll tell you that you must fulfill all seven of the Trials of the Incarnate. As you've already fulfilled the 1st two (your birthsign, and the corprus cure), she'll send you to Sul-Matuul to ask him of the Third Trial
- Sul-Matuul, in turn, will demand you prove your worthiness before he'll tell you of the "Third Trial". He'll send you to Kogoruhn to bring back three items, Corprus weepings, a House Dagoth cup, and the Shadow Shield.
- Go there and get the items. The weepings should be easy to obtain from a Corprus critter, the cup is in one of the domes on the citadel, and the shield is in the caves beneath Kogoruhn ("Kogoruhn, Bleeding Heart").
- Report back to Sul-Matuul, and ask him about the "Third Trial" again. He'll tell you a riddle.
- Ask everyone in the Urshilaku Camp (yup, even the random wandering Ashlanders) about the various phrases of the riddle. Random Ashlanders can give the location, and Nibani Maesa will puzzle out how to open it if you ask her about "the star is the key", "the dream is the door", and "mouth of the cave" (in that order).
- Go to the Caven of the Incarnate, and enter. If you don't know how to enter, Nimani tells you if you follow the above conversation suggestions.
- Report back to Nibani Maesa.
- Nibani will inform you that you need to fulfill all seven of the Trials of the Incarnate.

Becoming the Hortator
| Title: B8_All_Hortator |
| Become the Hortator of all three Great Houses | Type: Varies |
| Requirements | A2_6_Incarnate |
Steps:
- Nibani Maesa will tell you that to fulfill the Fourth Trial of the Incarnate, you will need to become the 'Hortator' of all three Houses.
- Visit each House (Hlaalu - Vivec, Redoran - Ald'Ruhn, Telvanni - Tel Vos) and become the Hortator of each one.
- Return to Nibani and she will declare you the Hortator of all three Houses if you ask her about any of the Hortator titles you've earned.
|
| Title: B8_All_Hortator |
| Become the Nerevarine of all four Ashlander tribes | Type: Varies |
| Requirements | A2_6_Incarnate |
Steps:
- Nibani Maesa will tell you that to fulfill the Fifth Trial of the Incarnate, you will need to become the 'Nerevarine' of all four Ashlander tribes.
- Becoming the Urshilaku Hortator will be easy; Sul-Matuul gives you a short lecture on your duties, and then names you their Nerevarine.
- The other camps will be trickier; visit each camp (Ahemmusa, (Erabenimsun, (Zainab) and become the Nerevarine of each one. Do Zainab last unless you have at least the 1st patch (there's a bug).
- Return to Nibani and she will declare you the Nerevarine of all four tribes if you ask her about any of the Nerevarine titles you've earned.

| Reward: Teeth of the Urshilaku ("Teeth") |
Acknowlege and then defeat Dagoth Ur
| Title: B8_MeetVivec |
| Confront the Temple and Vivec himself | Type: Search & combat quest |
| Requirements | B8_All_Hortator & B8_All_Nerevarine |
Steps:
- You don't really need Nibani to acknowlege that you've done all the Hortator and Nerevarine quests; Danso Indules, below, will do the same thing when you speak with her. On the other hand, if you're faithfully following the Trials, asking Nibani about the Sixth or Seventh Trials will get you the same thing: Confront Tholer Saryoni & Vivec.
- Per the note you got from Athyn Sarethi, go speak with Danso Indules outside the High Fane. She's wandering around the archway.
- She'll suggest that you sneak into Sarethi's quarters from the Hall of Wisdom, but you should be okay as long as you're not wanted and if you haven't worn Indoril around the High Fane Ordinators.
- Either way, speak with Tholer Saryoni in his quarters in the High Fane; if you've killed any Ordinators at all inside the High Fane, he'll refuse to speak with you about "Temple doctrine" unless you Persuade him up to at least 70% and then apologize.
- He'll explain that it may very well be time for "Temple doctrine" to change, and ask you to meet with Vivec; he'll give you two keys (one to his own back door, one to Vivec's palace).
- Speak with Vivec about whatever you please; make sure to (eventually) speak to him about "business" and agree to carry Wraithguard (do NOT lose it).
- If you also ask how to "defeat Dagoth Ur", he'll tell you as well as mark the locations of Sunder (Vemynal), Keening(Odrosal), and Dagoth Ur on your map.

Quest Items: Keening ("keening")
Sunder ("sunder")
Wraithguard ("Wraithguard") |
| Title: C3_DestroyDagoth |
| Defeat Dagoth Ur | Type: Combat quest |
| Requirements | B8_MeetVivec |
Steps:
- This one is fairly simple to describe, but may be tricky to do unless you are high enough level.
- When you encounter Dagoth Ur, wear Wraithguard, wield a weapon, and whack him until he vaporises.
- The globe-shaped doors rotate open; before you go through, note the ring behind where they were. Not bad, eh?
- Now, go through them and kill Dagoth Ur again. Fly down to the bridge (or circle around the edge of the cavern) and cross the bridge to the Heart.
- Wield Sunder and thwack the Heart once with it (Dagoth Ur will pop up again, so kill him again); wield Keening and hit the heart until the Heart vanishes.
- Get outta there; don't recall or Intervention though, or you'll miss out. Instead, retrace your steps.
- After you get out of the Akulakhan's chambers, walk towards the exit doors; witness the ending movie, and get a fairly nice treasure (not so great that it's worth killing Dagoth Ur, but still nice).
- Feel free to Recall or Intervention out, and explore a Blight storm-free world.
